Trademarks and Licensing

The University of South Carolina Beaufort owns many federally registered trademarks. Among them are the university's logo and logotype and the Sand Shark logo. Use of registered trademarks without the express permission of the University of South Carolina Beaufort is a violation of federal and state law. Any business or individual who produces commercial items for public view or consumption must be officially licensed.

Privacy Guidelines

The policy of the University of South Carolina Beaufort is to respect the privacy of all website visitors to the extent permitted by the law. All official university websites, sites that collect online information from visitors and those that track user actions must notify visitors of their information-collection policy by including a Privacy Statement on their website.

Accessibility Guidelines

The University of South Carolina requires all new or revised Web pages published or hosted by the university to be in compliance with federal guidelines required by the Rehabilitation Act, Section 508, subsection 1194.22, and standards endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative.
